Black Friday Beauty In Las Vegas

With great restaurants, bars, casinos, and nightclubs, Las vegas is one of the most exciting cities in the world. Here you can find exciting entertainment and plenty to do.

The shopping is small town like in atmosphere and surrounds the park. The architecture is creative (a blend of Mediterranean, Spanish, and Colonial styles) and the shops are organized by theme (children, teen, adult, etc.) Opened in 2009, this is one of the newest malls in town and comes with 3 garages for plenty of free covered parking. (Quaint street parking inside the mall is metered.) The store selection includes everything you’d expect in a mall, plus a grocery store, with plenty to keep the children busy while you’re browsing. There is also a modern 18 screen movie theater for enjoying the latest shows.

The Fall of Atlantis animatronics show is deep inside the Forum Shops, (next to the Cheesecake Factory.) King Atlas wants to pick an heir, his children try to destroy each other, a 20 foot flying beast appears, then Atlantis is destroyed by fire and sinks in the flood. Monitors have been added for effect and kids love this show, so it gets crowded early with presentations every hour starting at 10 a.m. daily.

Love fancy restaurants? This is the time of year to have a great meal and maybe even get a 2 for 1 dinner at some of the nicer restaurants in town. Also you can look forward to longer happy hours and plenty of drink specials. Venture further South on the strip to South Point or Silverton for even better deals. Last year South Point had dollar drinks the entire month of December! Any drink including some shots.

The other alternative is to sleep in and get in at the breakfast-priced buffet just before lunch items are set out. “Roll-overs” apply to all the buffets with the exception of two in Planet Hollywood, Todai and Spice Market.

There are a few certificates for only , such as the one for Stripburger, that popular patio at the north edge of fashion show mall, across from Wynn.

CANNON AVIATION MUSEUM – This is located in the McCarran International airport. There is a large exhibit about the aviation history of Las Vegas going back to first flight in 1920 up until the introduction of jets. The main museum is located above baggage claim inside of the terminal.

Beyond all the highly publicized glamor and bling of the city, is another side of Las Vegas that captures college students during Spring break. No, it’s not the fashion show mall where fashion shows and designer clothes are a daily commodity. It’s not even the luxury boutiques that line the halls of the Bellagio and the Wynn. Although Vegas caters to every level of shopper or fashionista, from college students to hotel heiresses on a splurging spree, the best pools in Las Vegas are what attract almost everyone looking to have a nice dip in the pool during Spring Break.

Gondoliers can be seen in the canal, and put on a parade at the beginning and end of each day (9:45 a.m. & 4:15 p.m.) The Gondolier March is an opportunity to be serenaded by the Gondoliers as they march through the mall from the Food Court to St. Mark’s Square.

Stay for free. Another option is if you play a substantial amount of money on a trip say 5-10 thousand dollars a trip your room should be comped (rooms and meal charges waived). If you have been paying you need to call the VIP Services of your favorite casino and ask if you can have a few nights for free. This time of year they love to give things away because they are plentiful. They will give you tickets to the best shows, comps to the best restaurants and if your host is really cool maybe even a limo ride to the airport. It all depends on where you stay. Smaller companies value you more than the mega casinos so keep that in mind.

Turn a friend or family member on to yoga by taking them to the movies. That’s what a friend of mine did. Okay, he didn’t literally take them to the movies; he loaned them his copy of Y Yoga Movie (Event Horizon Labs; 2008), a documentary that explores why people do yoga.

Across from Nellis Air Force Base is another location of Super 8 motel in the city – Super 8 Las vegas Nellis AFB Area. This motel is close to the famous complex of multiple tracks for automobile racing – Las vegas Motor Speedway. This complex features a 1.5-mile superspeedway, 2.5-mile road course, 0.5-mile dirt oval, drag strip and Go-Kart tracks.

Las Vegas: Hits And Misses On A Tight Budget

On Saturday, Aug. 31, 9:30-10:45 a.m., All About Yoga is offering a class at no cost. It is a level two beginner’s class that will explore the area between a beginning and intermediate yoga practice.

There are a ton of things you can do and see while in Vegas. One thing you can do which can take days is to visit all of the hotels on the Strip. Each hotel has something unique to offer and so much of it is free as well. From the Bellagio’s water entertainment and it’s botanical gardens to the Mirage with it’s volcano.

Since my notes on ‘very affordable’ Las Vegas are 98 pages long, we will focus on ‘free’ and ‘dirt cheap’ instead. There is a way to have a blast for next to nothing if you plan a little in advance. And you can still find free stuff if you know where to look.

The 2011 Miss America Pageant is being held in Las Vegas at the planet Hollywood Resort and Casino. The eleven day event kicks off Thursday at 4:00 p.m. with the arrival of all 53 contestants in front of Planet Hollywood. This event is open to the public and is one of many events featuring the contestants this week in Las vegas. On Saturday, January 8th, the women will take part in a runway show at the fashion show mall featuring Joseph Ribkoff designs. The women will be signing autographs after the show.

Lucy, a store that sells active wear for women, including a line of yoga clothing, is located in Town Square. Every Sunday at 9:00 a.m., the store holds either a free yoga or Pilates class. You must bring your own mat.

Also don’t forget about hotel coupons that all hotels offer their guests. A lot of times there will be buy one get one free coupons that will really come in handy and consider finding out where all the locals hang out. More than likely they’ll be hanging out at places with good food at lower prices.

We also tried some very nice restaurants. Vegas has really become quite the foodie destination. Many celebrity chefs have opened up some really nice places. Too bad we can’t afford to visit those, but if you’ve ever watched the food Network, you can taste the foods of Bobby Flay, Emeril, the Too Hot Tamales and many more.

The Many Things To Do In Las Vegas

Jordin Sparks wore a dress from Bebe with Alexander Wang shoes. Her jewelry was from Lee Angel & she carried a clutch from Rebecca Minkoff. Not sure what she has in her pocket, but it does distract from the teal strapless dress. Bebe is at fashion show mall and the Miracle Mile Shops at Planet Hollywood Resort.

BASS PRO SHOPS OUTDOOR WORLD – This is where lots of people go shopping for hunting and fishing gear. It is considered the leader amongst fishing stores in Las Vegas sporting a 40,000 gallon freshwater aquarium with a wide range of fishing equipment. They have fishing demonstrations that are interesting to see.

The Hawaiian Marketplace is not a mall; imagine it more like an oasis. Just south of Harmon Avenue and directly across The Strip from CityCenter, the Hawaiian Marketplace is within walking distance of at least 10 major casinos. And parking is available next to the marketplace, or at the Polo Towers which are directly behind the marketplace.

However, there is much more to do in Las vegas than gamble. The Las Vegas Strip is home to exciting and splendid shows, ranging from magic and comedy acts to musicals and stage plays. To find the perfect show to meet your personal taste and preferences you can book online, or purchase your tickets from the show’s host casino when arriving in Vegas. Discount tickets are also sometimes offered at Las Vegas discount ticket brokerages. However, these brokerages often offer a limited selection of tickets and may not be your best option if your have a specific show in mind.

Why not do something different! More and more Americans are gambling less and playing more while in Las Vegas. In response, Las Vegas casinos are giving away less and charging more for food and attractions than in the past in an effort to survive the current economic times. Here are a few ways to tip the balance in your favor!

FISHER SPACE PEN COMPANY – Is located at 711 Yucca Street, Boulder City and it is known for having a zero gravity pen that uses pressured ink cartridges, which are able to write in zero gravity, under water, on wet greasy paper, and at any angle. This pen has mainly been used by NASA on Apollo missions.
